The best thing about winter is Apple Crumble

Recently I've been making at least 1 crumble a week (sometimes 2...). It feels like such a healthy dessert - full of fruit and oats - so I often have it for breakfast or morning tea the next day!! This is my recipe - super quick and simple.

Apple & raspberry crumble
3-4 granny smith apples, cored and chopped into slices
100g of frozen raspberries
1/2 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup brown/raw sugar
1 cup flour
about 100g of margarine (I use the health smart stuff - but you could also use softened butter)

Mix the apples and the raspberries together in an ovenproof casserole dish. In a separate bowl, mix the dry ingredients together. Rub the margarine through the dry ingredients until it resembles breadcrumbs. It should stick together in a lump if you squeeze it. Sprinkle the crumble mixture over the fruit. Cook at 180 degrees (160 fan-forced) until the crumble is golden (approximately half an hour). Serve with ice-cream, cream or natural yoghurt.
